It is just too convenient not to. And your monthly statement is fabulous, please do not ever stop it." Rick: "I think this is a great service so many times I have gotten downtown for an event and then found I had no change in my pocket!" Tracy Westgard: “Awesome! My brother and I have used your system since it started in Saskatoon and it is so convenient. I am a very satisfied customer.” Jonathan Hunt: "You run a great service, thank you!" Brett Lasell, Saskatoon: "I like the convenience of your system. I work for a company in which I go downtown to service equipment and normally I would not have change. I would park without plugging the meter and then get a ticket. I caught wind of this system and decided to try it. It allows for the convenience of not having to carry change. As well it uses advanced technology which is nice to see because I use my cell phone all the time.” Linda McElwee, Saskatoon: "I will definitely use this service again (pay-by-cell). It is just too convenient not to." Rob Greer, Saskatoon: “I am particularly pleased with the convenience of the service.” After mentioning this the driver also asked if there was a contact name for the city whom he could contact because, “I would really like to ensure that the city (of Saskatoon) looks upon the service favorably.” Rick Peddle: “I think this is a great service - so many times I've gotten downtown for an event and then found I had no change in my pocket!” Glen Karawacki: “I was waiting to use the system because I heard about it on the radio. I used it and it worked great!” Lanny Westgard: “I love your system because I usually do not plug the meters not because I am an evil person and want to get a ticket but because I usually do not have the change in my pocket. Your system gives me another option to pay." Perry Albert, Manager of Public Safety, Lethbridge Community College: “The implementation was seamless. From the College’s standpoint, the system works very well.” Calvin Koskowich, NRC-IRAP ITA, Lethbridge Community College had this to say: “I can’t wait for your system to be introduced downtown [Lethbridge], I had a few meetings there last week and it was a pain looking for coins and guessing how much time I needed…” April, Lethbridge: “… the system worked wonderfully. I used my cell phone to park for a friend. “ Ian, Calgary: “I wanted to try the system and I hope to see it in Calgary” Carly says: “It is such a convenience, you always have your cell phone, but you don’t always have change.”
Carly was also a lucky driver who won an MP3 player just for using the system. Cameron, an instructor teaching one day a week at the college, was the 1st user at LCC to register with New Parking in January using the electronic parking payment system for the parking meters and was the recipient of a golf shirt.
Cameron’s assessment: “the system is really convenient and he never has to worry about finding coins". He found it a hassle to have to run to the cafeteria or the bookstore to get change, especially when teaching 4 hour long courses. Bekki is a new customer of New Parking who is anxious to see larger-scale adoption of the mobile phone payment system across the whole city.
Bekki remembered the access number and tried to dial it from downtown Lethbridge only to discover that these meters are not yet set up for use with New Parking Electronic Parking Payment System.
