City of West Palm Beach introduces cell parking™

 

City of West Palm Beach will shortly introduce a new way to pay for parking at all West Palm Beach meters.

In addition to coin and smart card, the cell phone will become a convenient and simple way to render payment for a parking meter.

The information stickers will be placed on all the meters within next few weeks.
 
It is very simple to start a parking transaction:
 

1. Dial local access number 561 283 1039
2. Wait for the prompts
3. Enter a parking meter ID shown on a meter mechanism (right under the dome)

There is no additional charge to use the cell parking™ system – you will only pay for the segment(s) of time you use.
 
And to stop your parking transactions, there are 2 ways:
 

1. Call back when you are leaving the parking place and the system will automatically find your transaction – listen to the prompts to stop your payment.
2. Do nothing – the cell parking™ system will stop the transaction when the maximum parking time for that meter is reached.
   
   

All registered drivers will receive an electronic statement via email, that could be used as business expense claim, where eligible.
